We had a really great time exploring the wetland area by our school this week. The students found deer foot prints, shells, rocks, and many other things. Ask your child about their experience. I'm sure they have a lot to share with you! (Below is a slideshow of our adventure.)

I'm sorry I didn't get these up earlier, but here are some pictures from our fun Halloween celebration: We are getting excited about Halloween in our classroom. The students made fun and creative monsters and then wrote descriptive paragraphs to explain what their monster looks like, sounds like, smells like, etc. This was a great project that got their creative juices flowing!
Today ABC 4 came and visited our 4th grade! Here are a couple of clips in case you missed it:

I really enjoyed meeting with you and talking with you about your amazing children. I love how full of curiosity, excitement, and energy they are! They bring me so much joy! In the past month, we have done some team building activities and also learned how to make inferences, among other things. Here are are few pictures of the some activities we did last month. Ask your children to explain these activities to you :) Now that we have been in school for over 6 weeks, your children may find that some of the academic content they are being taught is a little more challenging, which can be frustrating and uncomfortable. Please encourage them and help them to know that they can do the work they are assigned as they persevere and keep practicing. Also, please help them know that it is my job to help them learn, so if they have any questions or need some clarification on something, all they need to do is ask me for help. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! Mrs. Mackay |
